Axl Rose Makes a Quiet Riot at VMAs

I Wanna Hear You Scream!

The Guns N' Roses frontman introduced a performance by modern rockers the Killers last night at the 2006 MTV Video Music Awards. Meanwhile, Rose revealed to MTV's John Norris that Chinese Democracy is still scheduled to drop this year (yeah, right!) and the band will kick off a U.S. tour in late October. If Chinese Democracy had come out 6 or 8 years ago, then it would be relevant. This thing has been delayed for so long that I doubt it even exists. I have said for years that if Chinese Democracy gets released it will either be a total masterpiece or the biggest bust of all time. There will be no in between because the hype is too great.

For the record, I lean towards BUST.

It just seems like if he really was going to release it this year that he would set the date and get it out. I think they will tour the states and then Axl will disappear for a few more years and won't release an album.

You know, I actually endured much of the VMA broadcast but I missed this.

I can't imagine a record company would release an album within 3 or 4 months and not yet have a release date. I smell something funny.
